Reactive Sympathetic Overload
Reactive Sympathetic Overload (RSO) is a term sometimes used in functional, integrative, and wellness settings to describe a state of heightened activation of the sympathetic nervous system—the branch of the autonomic nervous system responsible for the body's "fight-or-flight" response. While the physiological concept of sympathetic nervous system overactivation is well established.
